Incumbent will serve as a community liaison between Seneca Nation and museum visitors. Will be responsible for the greeting guests, teaching, and supporting activities, and giving tours in the museum. Will also use cash register, aid customers in the gift shop, assist with summer activities, learn floor plan, create a cleaning schedule, train staff in Gift Shop procedures, and do assigned tasks.
Job qualification
- High School diploma or Equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to summarize and reconcile retail sales and operating, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Knowledge of retail floor sales techniques. Must be able to push, pull and carry over 30 pounds. Minimal maintenance duties when applicable. Must have and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license.
