This encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, such as ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of the office’s facilities and overseeing the maintenance and aesthetics of the office grounds. Additionally, incumbent will be tasked with conducting minor repair duties as required to uphold the overall functionality and appearance of the office and its surroundings.
Job qualification
High school diploma or equivalence with one to two years’ experience in an applicable trade, outdoor maintenance, or groundskeeper, or related laborer role. Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs needed. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary. Incumbent will be responsible for providing full-day care to children, wherein all speech and interactions with children, staff, and visitors will be conducted exclusively in the Seneca Language. Must keep a healthy, drug/alcohol free lifestyle for yourself.
Job qualification
High School diploma or Equivalent. Must have an Intermediate-level proficiency (per the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language – ACTFL) with preference for individual who have completed Immersion Years I & II. Must be CPR and First-Aid certified or willingly to obtain. Must be formally trained and certified in basic tasks associated with childcare, including NYS Mandated Reporter.
Necessary language abilities:
- Participate in conversation around a variety of topics, but with some situational limitations
- Maintain volume of Seneca speech, but lacking much detail or contextual-base
- Produce pre-pronominal prefixes, advanced suffixes, and noun incorporations, but with great difficulty and/or some loss of accuracy
- Acquire new language from modeled/routine exposure and limited instruction
- Notice and self-correct grammatical errors to a limited degree
