Job description

Recovery Peer Advocate will provide direct services to community members struggling with substance use disorder (SUD) through every stage of their process from chaotic substance use to long-term abstinence. Will serve as a mentor, advocate, motivator, and role model for people with SUD. Incumbent will promote recovery and aid individuals with overcoming barriers and obstacles to recovery, while assisting with the development of a recovery support system. Recovery Peer Advocate will model competence and the possibility of recovery and assist in developing the perspectives and skills that facilitate recovery. The Recovery Peer Advocate must demonstrate an ability to share personal experience and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships. Obtaining and Maintaining Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) certification will receive compensation upon verification. Negotiable rates are raised contingent on maintaining certification
