Job description

To provide advance life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. The Elder Services Specialist performs duties related to the programs of the Seneca Nation Housing Department’s Resident Services specialty. Incumbent is responsible for carrying out Resident Services program services and may assist the Resident Services Coordinator and/or department Director in creating new services as needed. Must work with new applicants and existing residents to determine eligibility for programs as well as provide educational services to existing program participants, either one-on-one or in group sessions. Will assist in the investigation of criminal and civil offenses and the apprehension of criminals. This is a position of civic responsibility demanding high moral character, sound judgement and self-reliance. Reports to the Chief Marshal on designed territory.

Job qualification

High School graduate or equivalent. Must have satisfactorily passed basic Police Officer training or be willing to attend class and successfully complete all requirements. Candidate must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid NYS driver’s license. Must be in excellent physical condition.

Job description

Responsible for vision, management, motivation and leadership to the Seneca Culture & Ceremonial program. Ensure and support the achievement of effective services to the community by identifying the best practice, Develop and implement strategic improvement plans and provide support and encouragement for the students and teachers. Must keep a healthy, drug/alcohol free lifestyle for yourself as for the community.

Job qualification

Must have a High School Diploma or Graduation Equivalency Degree. Preference will be given to individual who has completed Level I-IV. Must have Mentor proficiency and demonstrable knowledge of the Seneca Culture and Traditions. Must have proficient knowledge of Seneca Language, Culture and Ceremonial custom and traditions. Must possess excellent leadership and verbal/written communication skills. Must have working knowledge of available resources in cultural/ceremonial practices. Must have or preferred a valid NYS driver’s license. Must be flexible in hours – evenings and weekends may be required.
