Job qualification

Associate’s degree (Preferred Bachelor’s) in building maintenance and/or Journeyman papers for building and facilities maintenance with minimum five (5) years experience in construction and/or operations/maintenance fields or a combination of education and experience. Familiarity with applicable codes and ordinances as they relate to the facility. Must be in good physical condition and possess good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with community members. Possess a NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Certification specializing in emergency vehicle operation, Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation, licensed Paramedic from NYS and Certified Pediatric Advance Life Support. Must be physically/mentally able to perform job duties in a calm high-stress, fast paced work environment, and able to lift 20-50lbs.  Must have excellent communication skills verbal and written. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Previous security guard experience is preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays. Must be certified or become certified in CPR & First Aid upon hire. Willing to obtain additional certification to ensure the safety of the center patrons.
