Seneca Nation Human Services Division
Nya:weh Sgë:nö
We are the Human Services Division, a team newly connected and working all together under Good Mind Thinking. Our programs have supported the community for many years, and this new structure brings us together in a stronger and more coordinated way. We are excited to share who we are and how we are growing to better serve the Seneca Nation.
Human Services Division Guided by Good Mind Thinking
Our Foundation
The Human Services Division is grounded in Good Mind Thinking and trauma informed care. These principles shape how we serve the community and how we work together. They guide us in creating services that are culturally rooted, healing centered, and responsive to the needs of individuals and families.
Who We Are
Each of our programs has supported the community for many years. Coming together under one division marks an important new chapter. As we grow into this structure, we want the community to know that we are here, we are learning together, and we are committed to showing up with a Good Mind.
Moving From Good to Great Through a Holistic Approach
We are strengthening the way we support individuals, families, and the community as a whole. Our approach is holistic. We look at the full picture of a person’s wellbeing emotional, physical, cultural, and relational and work collaboratively to honor all of these needs.
Through integrated programs, expanded trauma informed practices, and a foundation in Good Mind Thinking, we are building a stronger and more connected system of care. This growth reflects our belief that wellness is a collective effort that uplifts the entire community.
Growing Into a Unified Division
We are building shared systems, strengthening communication, and bringing together the unique strengths of each program. This includes improving collaboration, aligning processes, expanding trauma informed practices, and identifying opportunities to enhance support for individuals and families. This is a time of intentional growth and relationship building within our teams and throughout the community.
Enhancing Our Services
Our goal is to strengthen the quality, consistency, and accessibility of services across the division. We are creating a system that supports healing, wellness, and long term community strength.
A Shared Vision for Community Wellness
The Human Services Division was created to support a more connected approach to wellness. By working all together, we are building a structure that encourages communication across programs, reduces barriers to services, supports culturally informed practices, and centers community wellbeing.
Evolving to Reflect Our Integrated Services
As we continue aligning programs, you may see updates to materials, processes, and program names. One upcoming change includes renaming the Crime Victim Services social media page to Seneca Nation Human Services. Future location updates may also occur to enhance accessibility and collaboration. When changes take place, we will share information early and clearly so community members always know where to find us.
Our commitment remains steady in every location. We will show up with a Good Mind, offer consistent support, and ensure every person feels welcomed and cared for.
Honoring Our Commitment
This chapter reflects our dedication to strengthening systems, supporting families, and uplifting our people. Through collaboration, cultural grounding, trauma informed practice, and Good Mind Thinking, the Human Services Division is building a stronger future for the Seneca Nation.
