Haudenosaunee Sports Center Community Input

Thank you for taking the time to provide your input on the development of a Haudenosaunee Sports Center.

We believe the Sports Center could become a national attraction for fans of lacrosse and other regional sports – a gamechanger for the local economy that can provide jobs and educational opportunities for our community. The goals of the Sports Center are to:

• Celebrate the culture and history of Haudenosaunee sports and athletes.
• Create a new economic engine that attracts athletes from across the country, cultural visitors, and revenue to our community.
• Provide a community resource that serves local youth and athletes.

  A concept design for the center is in progress. The Sports Center could include playing fields, locker rooms, a hotel, and a museum or other cultural components. As we develop this concept further, we seek guidance from the community to prioritize what aspects should come first.
