Responsible to assist the Facilities Manager in the general maintenance of the Seneca Nation’s facilities.
Job qualification
Associate degree (Preferred Bachelor’s) in building maintenance and/or Journeyman papers for building and facilities maintenance with minimum five (5) years’ experience in construction and/or operations/ maintenance fields or a combination of education and experience. Certification as a pool technician may be required. Familiarity with applicable codes and ordinances as they relate to the vehicles and facility. Must be in good physical condition. Must be able to work with community members, staff, and contractors in a respectful and professional manner. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Must have the ability to work in a diverse cultural environment. Knowledge of Seneca customs, traditions, and practices is helpful. Strong organizational skills and the ability to understand and manage high-profile, sensitive, or controversial projects. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently. Native preference. Must have a valid NYS license.

Incumbent will design, coordinate and implement the health and disabilities components, as well as behavioral health. Incumbent is responsible for the recruitment, enrollment and arranging for delivery of services for children with special needs including: impairments due to physical and mental disability, stress, behavioral problems, depression, communication difficulties, dysfunctional daily living skills, and anxiety. Duties will cover all Preschool and Head Start children.
Job qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education or related field. Two (2) years of experience in supervision and management. Five (5) years’ experience in Early Childhood Special Education services and/or inclusion settings. Experience working with a variety of people from various cultural, socio-economic, educational and experiential backgrounds. Skills in communication, group process, training and development, management and record keeping. Must relate to problems of low-income families and minorities. Knowledge of Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA). Knowledge of data analysis and research techniques. Knowledge of Head Start program policies and procedures. Proficiency in written and verbal skills. Strong analytical skills. Effective, supportive organizational skills. Ability to read understand and apply complex regulatory guidance, research in related field etc.
