    Gakwi:yo:h Farms Market will host a grand opening event Wednesday, July 10th at 10 am at 13594 Taylor Hollow Road in Collins. The goal of the Market is to bring healthy, fresh produce and food to our community. During the grand opening event, there will be samples of bison corn soup made with Gakwi:yo:h Farms’ bison, beans, and hulled white corn. Samples of this year’s maple syrup will also be available. The Market will host a variety of organically-grown, fresh, high-quality food products straight from the producers. Items include fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, bison, maple syrup, and white corn products from Gakwi:yo:h Farms. The Market will also supplement stock from local organic growers, namely Thorpes in East Aurora and Abers Acres in Kennedy, for items Gakwi:yo:h Farms cannot yet provide. The Market will accept various forms of payment: cash, check, credit/debit card, and Seneca Nation Health System Veggie Bucks. The Market is not able to accept SNAP benefits yet.     Group 4-6 Seneca Language Summer group is having a car wash, hot dog sale, joker board, and 50/50 drawing on Friday July 12th noon to 3pm at the Sully. The goal is to have the kids raise their own money for outdoor supplies and for extra spending money for their end of the program trip to Darien Lake. The joker board and 50/50 will take place at 2:30pm.

    There will be special kick-off events happening on Thursday, July 18th. A 5K that starts at the ACC and ends at Vet’s Park. Fitness sessions at the park. Iroquois Social from 5 – 7. Wrapping up the day with The Jeremy Keyes Band from 7 – 9. This event along with the three day powwow are all drug and alcohol free events.
