  • Pole to Plate: A Community Fishing Party

    @Allegany Community Center 3677 Administration Drive Salamanca, NY
    Grab your pole and tackle box and get ready for a fun day of fishing! The goal is to return to the old ways and come together to fill the community freezers with white bass for distribution to our members on both territories. We'll meet at the ACC and take a bus to and from the fishing areas. Once back at the ACC, there will be a demonstration on filleting and everyone is invited to clean and process the fish so they are ready to distribute. Remember to pack your feast bundle - lunch will be served. Please note that all minors must be accompanied by an adult and all non-enrolled Senecas will need a Seneca Nation fishing license. They will be available for purchase at the event. Bring your own fishing gear.

    Join in on a day of fun and work with the crew and help plant the community farm! Breakfast and lunch provided for all volunteers. Please bring your feast bundle with reusable dishware, flatware, drinkware, napkins and towel for cleanup. Also, the white bass distribution will take place at the pole barn behind the farmhouse during the community planting day. Seneca Nation members are invited to stop by and for some frozen fish fillets from Ohi:yo’. Fish will be first come, first served and while supplies last. Seneca Media & Communications will debut the short film compilation of the Fishing classes and Pole to Plate Community Fishing Event.     It's time for the annual Cattaraugus Marshal Community Outreach Program Pledge Launch! Dodgeball! Food! Fun! We invite everyone Under 21 years old to come out and sign our Pledge of Personal Responsibility. You sign up, keep doing to the right thing & stay out of trouble, and you can win prizes in September at our annual Pledge Culmination Celebration. You must sign up every year to be eligible. We will be taking Pledge sign-ups at the CCC starting at 5pm on May 30th. We will have the grill set up so everyone can eat. Then we play some dodgeball. The drawing for the annual Spring Cash Raffle will be at the end of this event. $10 tickets are available through any Catt. Marshal Employee. SEE EVERYONE ON THURSDAY MAY 30TH!
